Think a match in inflatable balls is just a summer activity? Think again! In winter we play in sports halls, so frost, snow and early darkness don’t matter – and after an hour in a ball, nobody feels cold.
Below we explain which occasions bumper ball in winter works best for and how to get ready for a match between November and March.
Why a Hall Is the Best Choice in Winter
In summer an outdoor pitch or grass works great, but in winter we strongly recommend a hall. It has a flat, dry surface, lighting and heating, and usually a changing room where you can get ready before dinner or heading back to the office. With the hall package (€22 per person) and the VIP package (€28) we book the venue for you.
Which Occasions Suit Winter Bumper Ball?
Christmas team building
Instead of yet another sit-down dinner – an hour of competition that puts the team in a completely different mood for the company Christmas party. A tournament between departments is a great way to end the year, and we issue VAT invoices straight away. Read more in our post Bumper Ball Tournament for Companies.
Stag and hen parties
In winter it’s easier to find free dates than at the height of the wedding season, and an indoor match is a reliable part of the programme whatever the weather. After the game: a shower, dinner and an evening somewhere warm.
Winter-break birthdays
The winter school holidays are a great time for a birthday party in the balls for kids aged 10+ and teenagers. See our post Bumper Ball Birthday Party for details.
A New Year match with friends
Got a crew that likes to start the year with a bang? A match in the balls in the first weeks of January beats a gym membership gathering dust in a drawer.

How to Prepare for a Winter Match
- A change of clothes – arrive in your coats, but play in a tracksuit, T-shirt and trainers with clean soles.
- Warm-up – after coming in from the cold, your muscles need a moment. The VIP package includes a professional warm-up.
- Water – even in winter it quickly gets warm inside the ball. In the VIP package everyone gets a bottle of water.
- Getting there – in winter it’s better not to rely on walking. We can arrange transfers to the hall and back.
- Book ahead – in December halls fill up with company tournaments and pre-Christmas events, so it’s worth securing your date early.
How Much Does Indoor Bumper Ball Cost?
In winter the hall packages are the most popular: €22 per person, or €28 for the VIP version with a host and referee, photos, water and a warm-up. For 12 people that’s €264 and €336 respectively. You’ll find full examples in our post How Much Does Bumper Ball Cost? Prices, Packages and Sample Budgets.
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Can we play outdoors in winter?
You can, but from November to March we strongly recommend a hall. Snow and slippery ground make a poor pitch, and the balls work best on flat, dry surfaces.
Is there somewhere to change at the hall?
The halls we work with usually have changing rooms. We confirm the details when you book.
Where do you play in winter?
In sports halls in 18 cities. In Kraków we play at Com Com Zone (ul. Ptaszyckiego 6) and at the hall on al. Jana Pawła II 37, among others; in other cities we choose a hall to suit the number of players and the location.
